Wednesday's match drew 1,575 local soccer fans!
The Vaqueros hosted and faced off against the fuerzas basicas of UANL Tigres club of LIGA MX on Wednesday night at Garvey Rosenthal Soccer Stadium on the TCU Campus. The night started on the fence as local Texas thunderstorms were compromising kick off! As they say in Texas though, if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes. After the short downpour and lightning sirens, the clouds parted and it ended up being a beautiful night in Texas for the beautiful game between these two legendary clubs.
After pregame festivities and the dream team walk out, the fans were treated to the national anthem of Mexico and The United States performed by Northside High School's Mariachi Espuelas de Plata!
With kick off at 7:30pm, both teams didn't waste any time competing at a high level and in front of such a great audience. You can watch this game here on your official Youtube channel. Be sure to subscribe to our channel to watch all future games live, if you can't make the match in person.
The Vaqueros fell to Tigres 5-0, however, the highlight of the evening were the amazing 1,575 fans that came out to support both teams! Thank you Fort Worth for coming out.
